August 2019: First Wednesday Wine Pairing
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 7 • 6:30 - 9 PM
The first Wednesday of every month Forage EC teams up with William the Eau Claire Wine Guy to offer a four-course meal paired with four wines. Interest in plant-based cooking and eating is growing, so Kristen will prepare the first 100% plant-based wine pairing at Forage while Chef Michelle is cooling her toes in a lake. The menu is:
Cantaloupe salad with tarragon sugar snap peas;
Cold mint and carrot soup with dukkah cashew cream, topped with CBD infused, olive oil croutons;
Tomato-zucchini fritters with fresh herbs, sorrel, and cucumber dip;
Sweet corn panna cotta with blackberries
Cost is $45.
Locally grown produce will be used as much as possible in this meal, and there will be options to add cheese to a couple of the dishes for those who wish to. Registrations will be cut off 8:00 a.m. Sunday, August 4, and no refunds will be given after that time.
