The Wisconsin Science Festival Presents: The Science of Living with a Terminal Illness

The Wisconsin Science Festival brings you Kurt Jacobson, former pastor for 28 years at Trinity Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. In 2018 he was diagnosed with ALK-positive stage IV lung cancer with brain involvement. He has benefited from a new, targeted therapy that has pushed his cancer into remission.
Kurt is an ordained minister of the ELCA. He holds a BA in Business/Hospital Administration and Organizational Communication from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, and a Master of Divinity degree from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN. He also has a certificate in Intentional Interim Ministry from the National Association of Lutheran Interim Pastors. He is the author of two books: "Welcoming Grace: Words of Love For All", and "Living Hope: Messages of Faith". Today he offers consulting services to churches through his business, Mustard Seed Consulting, LLC, and enjoys living on lake in northwestern Wisconsin.
